During a recent holiday in Murcia we decided to have a beach day at Los Alcazares. There was plenty of parking and we left the car in one of the sides streets. We sat near to the jetty just in from of Cafeteria Alaska and the beach was very busy. It was lovely to see a group of children kayaking and wind surfing. We brought beach chairs and an umbrella. On the way to the beach we stopped at the Pretty Shop (Av. Pinatar, 83, 30730 San Javier) to buy a bucket, spade and beach ball. We spent all day at the beach and enjoyed a picnic. The beach was very clean and there were great views of La Manga and the mountains. The water was warm and very clean with lots of little fish. Our son was intrigued by the dredging that was taking place. There was a lovely promenade just behind the beach and we had a lovely walk before meeting my cousin and her boyfriend.

Plenty of space, easily able to social distance. Mostly even sand making for an enjoyable experience. Public toilets available and various drinks/food outlets near by.

The beach is long, but not very wide (10-30m for most of it). There is a nice promenade just outside the beach. A few places along the beach have bars or restaurants, so most services are close at hand.

When we were there, there was a light wind blowing all the time, which made the temperature seem a little cooler than it would otherwise be (but be warned, you still need a lot of sun cream). In summer this wind would be great to avoid overheating.

This is such a nice beach to visit you can have long walks and there are some nice bars to stop of for a drink or snack. It's always pleasant to sit or walk and watch the wind surfers

Lovely well maintained beach , cleaned every day in the summer and although the floods damaged it last year it was all put right .

I find the whole beach along this strip in the summer to just be dirty and unapealing, on the other hand I will admit it is a beautiful beach to walk along any other time of the year.

Unfortunately they alter the natural way of the beach to make room for tourists, damaging the flora and fauna of the sea bed (more of a big salt pond) and put nets up so the jelly fish can't get through to clean the water.

Before the madness of summer hits it is a great place to go with children as the water won't go past an average adults waist.

In the off peak season it is a lovely little beach great for walks in the day or to lay on at night and look at the stars.

Hate the fact that so many places around here cater for the Brits. On Jan 3rd they had their deckchairs out on the beach, beer cans in hand & sun burnt chests. And they were eating the English breakfasts on the beach promenade cafes. Nice walk but most houses were boarded up.

We were at a lot of different beaches at Los Alcazares. The best spot to be is the beach close to the bar Spinosa. It was not as crowded as at other places, the water was clear and there were beach chairs for renting.

The beach is not very wide but one of the longest. What's nice it's so close to restaurants and bars. Quiet in the off season now but can only imagine how busy this place is in the summer.

We have been here a few times now and every time we come you cant fail to be impressed. The beach itself is spotlessly clean, the water really safe for the kids and there has always been plenty of room for all your usual beach 'paraphernalia'. One of the best beaches in this area of Spain.
