Very old rock art and best viewed with accompanying information. Have a guide or at least a booklet to explain those rock art. Bring along insect repellant and drink lots of water.

Although this is a far flung place, it is well worth a visit. To see the marvellous rock art and to climb up to the top of the main rock is an experience not too miss. The views are phenomenal especially in the wet season when there is so much greenery. A privilege to visit.

Try and get there early, before the bus tours arrive! Rock art on the way up is brilliant, look out for settler with hands on hips and walk right up to the top for the most spectacular view of beautiful Kakadu and Arnhem Land.

Ubirr Rock is right at the top of the most beautiful and amazing places on Earth! Ubirr rock has to be at the top of the list for all Kakadu visits and truly has to be seen to be believed. Whilst we visited in the wet season (monsoon season) the view and experience was still absolutely spectacular. We ended up... More

My family visited Ubirr to watch the sun set and see the amazing Indigenous art. The walk is very easy and my three year old claimed up the rocks (with a little help) ok. Take plenty of water and insect repellent is a must - the fly's could carry you away!! However, don't let that put you off, watching the... More

Interesting Aboriginal rick painting site with informative signage. For me best part is the view from the lookout.

This place is amazing, it's history and views are are mind blowing. ABORIGINAL ROCK ART: Its awesome! But he most amazing thing about it is the stories and information on the area that each generation of Aboriginals has passed on! If you can go with a guide you will get a lot more out of seeing the rock art and... More

An historic Aboriginal site. Lots of rock art, fabulous views from the top. We were there on a day when temperature reached 40! Phew, but travelled early to avoid the heat of the day. Bit of a scramble to get to the top, however the views make it all worth while. Advise to carry at least a litre of water... More

What an absolutely spectacular place to visit! The rock art is fantastic!!! And the view from the top was just incredible!!! We went up for the sunset and I would thoroughly recommend it!!! Unfortunately didn't time our visit with one of the free guided tours, but the information at each site was great!!! A must do in Kakadu!!!

A wonderful area with magnificent aboriginal art. A easy walk for most of it with one area with a bit of a climb. Take some water and a hat not much shade. If you get there early there is guided talk.
