***Island ferry doesn't operate until after October. This is never mentioned in any review. Tourist beware!*** Don't plan St Mary's ride during Mar-Sep. There is nothing else to do in Udupi otherwise.

St Mary's island is Situated nearly 3-4 km from malpe beach in Mangalore. One needs to take a boat to reach to the island. The route from the beach to the island is adventurous. Great experience visiting the island.
