Whether you are on a spiritual tour or just sightseeing, this place should be on your list. Try to schedule your visit in accordance with their activities so you can have a talk with some of Monks.

A muezzin was calling for pray from the neighboring village when we arrive. In the same time monks started to sing in the monastery, it was amazing. The complex is huge and some part is newly rebuilt (after the fire), the church is really nice,...More

The beautiful setting of the Monastery and unusual architectural forms of the particular objects, that`s the strengths of this place. The visit inside does not make such a strong impression. Anyway, if you step in Mavrovo National Park, do not miss this historic monument.

The views are amazing, but the Monastery itself wasn't what I expected. We planned to spent there a few hours, but you can see it all in half an hour. It's pretty, but I guess it's not for someone who doesn't come to pray.

Visited this monastery on the way from Ohrid to Skopjie. It is a must do when in the area of Mavrovo. The monastery is pretty huge and very well maintained and comes with a long history and a superb view.
