If you want to gain an in-depth insight into the production of olive oil, then Fermin is your man! There are two options for the visit (one includes a visit to the olive groves and tasting. Note that the olive groves are some way away and the visit lasts 3 hours). We opted for the second choice which was the tasting only. This was still two hours and time very well spent. We learnt so much about olive oil production and Fermin was a delight. A great variety of products to purchase as well. The great thing was that the environment was totally authentic. Fermin doesn't speak much English but his family does the translation. If you are into your food then make a detour to visit this delightful business run by a master tasting professional!

We didn’t get a chance to do the tasting or olive grove tours because we hadn’t called ahead, but Fermin was lovely to talk to and very helpful, and the oil and bath products they sell are excellent!

Excellent visit to a countryside olive farm seeing the different types of olives and learning about each ones purpose. saw 800 and 1800 year old olive trees. Back at the store we learned about olive oils and how to do an evaluation tasting. Finally, we had a small olive feast of oils, tapenades, and related products. Afterwards had lunch in beautiful Priego de Cordoba.
