The old men in Spain seem to sit happily in the shade chatting for most of the day, and at Neptune’s Fountain they can be seen sitting in the shade of wonderful trees, and/ or next to the splashing water which helps cool them too....More

After walking a couple of minutes from Barrio de la Villa, I turned up at this beautiful square. It is very clean and quite. The fountain is amazing, specially if all fountain's streams are working. You can take one or two good pictures of it....More

It has 139 gushing spouts, each with different carved faces, spilling into 3 pools with Neptune in the centre. Quite delightful! The water is clear and potable. Definitely worth visiting.

We only saw it at night, but nicely lit. Looked like they were landscaping the area around it when we were there.

Walk up the Calle Rio and check out the street side mansions on the way my wife loved the beautiful doors and balconies.

With the free maps at torist info centre in the main square, its possible to amble around all the sights in one day but the churches have limited opening hours. The fountains are a delight and are just a 10 minute amble from the square....More
