From the minute we entered we were amazed to the order and cleanliness. Went into the Cafeteria and the area was pristine, as were all the toilet facilities on the site. Great place for families, schools, young and even old like me. Full of historical interest from every theatre of war. An absolutely brilliant place to visit in rain, cloud... More

We visited while staying in York for a few days. So much history you need at least 4/5hours and even then you probably wont be able to read everything. This is a second world war museum that used to be a prison of war camp with 33 huts. When visiting each hut you actually get the feeling that You're actually... More

Visited on Easter Sunday as our 8 year old is learning about WW2 at school. We all had a great day, the museum is really well laid out and extremely interesting. It really gives you an insight into what it would have been like to live through the war. Our children also really enjoyed the play area. It was a... More

Eden Camp is a thoroughly unique museum - an ex-POW Camp that makes use of over 25 x Nissen huts to tell the story of WWII (and subsequent conflicts involving British Forces). Each hut features a different aspect of the conflict and manages to evoke the smells, sounds and basic assault on the senses that our parents experienced during the... More

Ehat a great place. You can smell the coal in mine shafts and smoke in the house fires. Lots of good information. Nice play park too. Would recommend a visit.

Great if you love history! You need to set a whole day aside for it though. It's very long and lots of reading. It was great, they even put in authentic smells! Only bad thing about it was the food and the price of the food.

My partner is very interested in anything related to ww2 and was absolutely delighted with the detail and variety of information within the exhibits . We spent over 3 hours going round and could easily have spent longer. Absolutely brilliant

Certainly worth a visit if you are interested in militaria.A former prisoner of war camp they now use the huts to house thousands of items . It would take all day to read all the info about the things on display and the stories of people involved in the wars. It is mainly WW2 but there are sections covering the... More

I remember visiting here as a child & took my son for the first time. It's very different going as an adult, although the smells haven't changed 😷 We all really enjoyed the day & had so much fun. I can't wait to visit again with my little one.
