It is an attraction and a short road trip from Halifax. Beautiful in summer again as winter can get way too cold, still it is beautiful. I recently visited and was amazing, had fun nothing much to do as not many restaurants or things nearby. However, if you wanna see nature and its power I would say must visit and... More

One of the most dramatic coastlines in Nova Scotia (and there are MANY!), Peggy's Cove is a reminder of the power of Nature. DO NOT GO NEAR THE REACH OF THE WATER. People die. Accept that, and you will have the opportunity to hear the voice of the sea. It is easy to wander far enough away from the tourists... More

Short drive from Halifax, Peggy's Cove is a neat fishing village, with iconic light house, local artisans, beautiful scenery and tasty sea food. It was raining during my visit, but I still enjoyed every little bit of it. But, if you have a chance to avoid rainy day, do it. Park at visitors centre and walk down to the village... More

My wife and her two grand children and I went on a nice summer day for a visit. I've been there a few times , its always a nice place to visit especially on a hot summer day because its never real hot here! Always stay well back on the rocks, signs are posted but keep your children close by... More

Excellent place for a photo and to enjoy the sunset! The color of the water is just amazing. Parking isn't the greatest, have to walk a little ways to the light house. Great views and shops on the walk to the lighthouse. But not a lot to do here. Makes for a good weekend drive. Popular tourist area so does... More

What a beautiful little village---as soon as we drove to the edge of the town, we knew we found a special place. The village itself has a lot of little shops on the way to the rocks. From the visitor center, it was a short walk (<10 mins) to the main site. One word: windy! Ensure you are wearing good... More

I fell in love with the whole town the instant we turned the corner. The lighthouse itself is beautiful and has a lots of rocks to explore, but was extra cautious about letting the kids stray too far as the ocean spray was crazy. It was windy and cold the day we were there so we didn't stay as long... More

Peggy's Cove is delightful and the walk out to the lighthouse is a must, especially at sunset. Be careful on the rocks and PLEASE do not litter.

After a windy road in a mini bus (caution for those prone to car sickness) we arrived for a view well worth the temporary inconvenience. Peggy's Cove is where the Atlantic shows its power. Standing on the rocks and looking out at the incredible swells and crashing waves is a great experience. A couple of words of caution - it... More

It is an extremely photogenic location. I did not get the photos I would have liked as it was very windy, but got to see the cove with fishing boats and this wonderful lighthouse. I bought a wonderful original piece of art from the artist with a Peggy's Cove scene. Probably best scene in summer.
