Three floors of Highlander history following the disbanding of Scotland's clans by King George in the 1700's. Uniforms, military hardware and great depictions of the Highlander regiments are all organized beautifully.

The museum is set over 3 floors and isn't suitable for buggies so the sleeping 9 month old couldn't come in but there is space to leave a buggy if the child is awake/old enough. The volunteer was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The exhibits were very interesting and covered the roots of the regiment and all campaigns up to... More

The Highlanders museum is set within Fort George in one of the main blocks. The size of the museum isn’t great, but the 3 floors are stuffed full of memorabilia and relics from their past tours. There’s loads of stuff from eons ago, but there is also a section which is bang up to date. The staff as with other... More

Lovely fort with added museum of the highlanders regiment over the last 200 years. Lots of uniforms and weapons. Even little game for kids to play below some of the exhibits.

A free museum once you have paid and entered Fort George, this museum has a lovely and informative display of military "hardware" from the past. It is 3 floors of collections and worth visiting.

This is a free museum (donations welcome) but you’ll first need to pay the entry fee into Fort George. The museum is spread over three floors and is crammed full of militaria of the famous and fearsome Highlander regiment. It’s an impressive collection of weapons, uniforms, equipment and stories even for someone without too much interest in that sort of... More
