Had to visit the Italian War Memorial to pay our respects. Made my own personal feeling that atrocities like this must never be forgotten just like the Holocaust. God bless the poor people who suffered during this dark time. Would encourage all to visit who...More

Bearing in mind the atrocities that both the Greeks and Italians suffered in Kefalonia at the hands of the Germans in the Second World War we felt it only right that we visited here. It's a lovely monument, obviously well looked after and quite moving. Please...More

A thought provoking, emotional visit to an understated but effective memorial. Located above the Panorama Studios and Apartments.

We visited this monument after visiting the home town of some of the Italian soldiers who were killed here. The monument in Bezzecca in Trentino, Italy commemorates these terrible events so it was very moving to see the places where these atrocities were committed.

But did you see the pit nearby where 136 Italians of the Acqui Divisione were massacred and their bodies burned to erase all trace of them ? Stop by next time and say a prayer for them
