We happened across this park and made a quick stop to look at the pretty sands. It was really nice, with pink, green, gray, purple, brown, etc. sand colors all adjacent to each other in mounds and stripes.

Spent here about 2 hours, bring small bottles with you to make your own sand bottle with different colors. The kids can run around and uou can enjoy the view

It's nothing major, just some different colored sands, but it's worth a stop to see. If you visit in the summer, do be aware that there are a lot of flies...and being at the bottom of the canyon it can be quite warm.

Lovely little stop on the way, did it as a kid and enjoyed it just as much as an adult. Sand of many colours, recommend bring small glass bottles to create sand art.
