Waterfalls Galore!

When you do this river go with the company out of Archidona called River People. They are top notch. They were the first to do it and know all the cool spots!

This is a stunning jungle river with fantastic primary jungle through steep sided ravines. The grade 3 rapids are playful and plentiful with just enough time to take in the sceanary. The action ramps up a notch when it joins the Hollin river with some exciting grade 4 rapids. For me it was the perfect mixture of rafting fun and... More

A narrow river with canyons and lush green foliage all around, with waterfalls coming from high above into the river at various points...it's easy to forget to paddle and get lost in the scenery!

The scenery on this river is very beautiful. There are many rocks and it is in the middle of the jungle. The tide was a bit low which caused the river to be a little less adventure than we hoped for. We only had a couple class IV rapids, With our first rafting experience the day before, we easily managed... More

Very good experience. I strongly recommend it. The canyon is really beautiful, and the rafting not complicated if the river is in optimal conditions.

Get with The River People for their tour of this river. Not too bad but felt much better with a group that really knew this river.

The lower Jondachi is gorgeous, challenging, remote, and full of unique experiences - starting with a porter supported jungle trek to the put-in. The river has a steep creek feel with many big drops, a bunch of smaller rapids, grand waterfalls, and shy but hand sized jungle spiders! The Jondachi merges with the Hollin which is much bigger water so... More

There are optional put-ins to choose between depending upon your kayaking skills. The natural scenery and wildlife are primal. Swinging cable bridges still used by locals cross the river occasional but otherwise the run feels quite remote.

Rafting the Jondachi was an incredibly thrilling experience. The river is very scenic, and it seems like you're hundreds of miles into the Amazon when it's actually only half an hour away from Tena. Excellent adventure and a great way to cool off and have fun.
