We went with the knowledge that the temple was closed for renovations, but really we want to see the rice terrace more than the temple. From the carpark area, you walk through a stretch of locals' residences which offer nice photo opportunities themselves. There is...More

A beautiful walk, but the temple itself has been dismantled prior to being rebuilt, so there's very little to see when you get there.

When I was over for holiday the temple was under construction. However, its not the temple which is breathtaking but rather the way reaching it through stunning rice fields, far away from tourists

This is a wonderful walk from the village through the paddy fields up to the temple. The views on the way are spectacular although the temple itself is fairly modest.

The hike to this small mountaintop temple is the best part as you meander through rice paddy fields and lush jungle. Pure nature. The windy path is easy to navigate as you meet the occasional farmer along the way. You could hike in sandals but...More

It's not the temple that is the attraction, but the lovely walk to it, taking you through working farmland and terraced rice paddies. This feels like real Java.
