That's one of the greatest experience that i can have in this city. The hapiness was here, that's the truth. Music, drink, a lot of people looking only fun. I only feel, because the train travel only a month in the year, but it's the most incredible month of the year, i think it's better than carnival.

Even on your own this is a fabulous day out. I travelled by myself and while I was a little nervous at the beginning (as everyone else seemed to be there with someone), I quickly made friends and had a brilliant time. The train leaves Campina Grande and travels for roughly 2 hours. Each carriage of the train has a toilet (port-a-loo) and a small bar (ice chest) in it. Music is playing (live) and people try to dance forro in the moving train. There are a very limited number of seats on board. Once the train arrives at its destination everyone gets out and there are food stalls and dancing near a band playing on a stage. The trip there is the main highlight as a lot of people don't travel the return trip. In hindsight If I went again I would stay in Galante with everyone else and organise another way back to Campina Grande later on (apparently only a 20 minute car drive).
