Situated on the road from Agra to Jaipur, it does more than break up a long journey. The sheer scale of the buildings and gardens gives an insight into the lavish lifestyle enjoyed by the rulers of the time and the wealth and effort deployed in building masterpieces such as this.

We found this to be a wonderful site to visit. We had a private guide we'd hired for several days through a reputable company. We didn't encounter any negative issues as others have described. This is a must see when in Agra. We hadn't heard of this UNESCO World Heritage site prior to going, so didn't have any expectations. We... More

We visited this landmark as part of our On The Go Tours group experience, so we already had a guide with us who pre-warned us about the hawkers in the car park. We visited quite early, about 9am, so there were hardly any other visiters which was great for photos. A very fascinating site

A superb well maintained ghost town. Built of red stone and with a really interesting history. The site is extensive and takes at least 3 hours to get around. If you think you have a king size bed the think again. Here you can see a raised bed that is the size of a small room. There are a number... More

One of the most dirtiest place on earth! It is absolutely filthy and a big garbage dump. However there are so many scams going and persistent people and children trying to sell you things and ask for money, it takes away from how nice the site is. Be careful of which tour guide you get also ! Never go here... More

As the name suggest, the building has 5 stories, with carved pillars, entirely made from red stone.. worth a visit to sikir fort complex

Fatehour Sikri is an amazing complex of buildings which seems to be just plonked in the middle of no-where. This five story palace was apparently built for the Emperor and his queens to make the most of the breeze (I can fully understand why any breeze here would be welcomed because it is extremely hot - about 44c while we... My friend and I visit Fatehpur Siri in our way to Jaipur on March 27,2017. Fatehpur Sikri is a fascinating ghost city built in the 16th century. This site have been abandoned in less than 15 years from the day it was constructed, it has left many heritages to ponder upon and appreciate. Most of these monuments are living examples... More
