The Kolomna Kremlin is a lovely place and even the weather (windy, snowy, rainy) could not really spoil our trip. The museum are all restored, exhibitions work and attract a great deal of tourists. Worth a visit - just go there when the weather is sunny and dry:)

Due to it location at the South-East of Moscow, Kolomna wasn't destroyed during Nazi invasion. It was no bomb shelling and street fights there. Thanks to it, we are able to see old Russian town in a way it should be. Charming and beautiful. Great views. 70 years of communist ruling wasn't as destructive as Second World War, but it... More

This is the old part of my native town. At weekends it is quite crowded with people with their children. I advise it for families only in cool weather and during the week. This is a good opportunity to get inside an ancient building and feel the atmosphere of middle ages. Also you can shoot from an arch and see... More

I heard a lot about Kolomna and finally I had a chance to visit this town. It is a town from a fairytale. The best russian town I've ever visited. We had a very good english-speaking guide Sophie. She is very intelligent, devoted to her town and her job and very modest. It takes just two hours to get there... More

I like the buildings which is just bye the riverThere are castles, churches and old buildings. You can get there by bus or taxi.On the other hand you go there from city by railway whose station is a little far away fromthe place. If you go to Kolomna you should see that place certainly.

Lovely enclosed (walled) complex, with restored churches, monestary grounds, 19th c. homes. The main cathedral is one of the finest in the region, iconostasis is carefully renovated and maintained. View of the Moscow river is spectacular. The main open square in front of the cathedral sometimes has a stage for special concerts. Open air crafts and children's activities during high... More

Is better to come earlier when not so many people there. And if you would like to visit any museums there you must book it in... More
