To experience these giant endangered birds was phenomenal. If you are interested in exotic animals and birds than this is surely a place for you. The tour guide told us there is no guarantee we would see these birds, luckily as soon as we got...More

A beautiful viewpoint of Colca Canyon with condor's soaring around the cliff edges. We were lucky enough to see ~15 condors using the currents to fly around and at some points came quite close to use. There's a long path along the area so you...More

We were told we might not see much, but on the day we were there quite a number of the Andean Condors were in flight - I think I counted about 15 at one point. Well worth the trip from Arequipa - which itself was...More

Watching the giant but graceful birds soar was breathtaking. At one point there were 20 of them circling and gliding.

It is a great trip to view the Condors and the Colca Canyon. It seems that by November Condors move to the cost, so try to do your trip by the end of October.

I hear we were lucky. There are around 40-50 condors living in the canyon, but we visited during the nesting season, which meant adults tended to stay in their nests. Our guide told us that it was impossible to predict how many would come out,...More
