The fact that we are standing at the most northerly point of mainland Western Europe already put us in a high. Indeed from that vantage point, we can only marvel at the cloud shrouded peaks, plateaus, sharp drop cliffs and the ocean before our eyes....More

We did not see the famous sunset ... it was foggy and raining . Nonetheless it is still worth the trip , to experience that feeling of being at the northern most edge of Europe.

My wife and I found it very exhilarating to visit Nordkapp. It was a clear day, and so it was amazing to stand at the northernmost point and look at the arctic ocean. The large hall had an interesting movie about the area, and there...More

The Nordkapp plateau is not the finest or most spectacular experience in Norway, but you must experience it once you get to the north. But beware. When you get to the ticket locker with your car, those who sit there are trying to trick you....More

I went with a tour, but I'm sure the local hotels and hostels can tell you which buses go there and what time they come back. I didn't do a boat ride.
