Located at anthropological survey office of Jagdalpur. A nice collection of clothes, utensils, arms, potrait of local batsar tribal people. No entry fee. If you are a history lover must go. It is on the way to chitrakot waterfalls.

Nice photos, fantastic collections, but this (FREE) museum needs to give those artefacts the treatment they deserve (arrows are shockingly taped to the walls !!) Some captions are in English, but not all.

The museum contains varied display of tribal artifacts and religious paraphernalia. It also includes antique weapons, clothes, accessories used by aboriginal tribes in the Bastar region. Usually quiet due to less number of visitors, it is interesting to know about tribal culture and lifestyle.

An excellent collection of lifestyle things of Bastar people. This place is located on the right hand side of the road towards chitrakot falls. We visited this place while returning from waterfall and spent around 30-45 minutes. Enjoyable experience.

The Anthropological museum at Jagdalpur is a must visit place. Just like Jagdalpur isn't advertised well enough for tourists despite its rich culture, heritage and history - the anthropological museum is also poorly advertised. MaYbe it could be better maintained too .... However, the curators...More

Knowledgeable staff, mostly research anthropologists, along with the fascinating collection of tribal artefacts make this a very worthwhile place to visit. The recently built Gond Gothul hut models are a worthy addition. The museum is located on the road to Chitrakot Falls on the right...More
