The light house is a prominent feature of Batticaloa's East Lagoon. Very popular with families as there is a play park. It's also possible to catch small ferries from here to other parts of the lagoon

This is the picture of part of the dutch fort and this is not light house. Ligthhouse is a common place where anyone can go and there is facility for boat riding which will take you where the lagoon meets the ocean!!

The photo for this attraction is incorrect. The photo shows part of the Dutch fort There is a single lighthouse of some historical importance by the water. Would have guided small ships through the estuary.

The lighthouse is fenced so there is no access to get near it. There was no information given about the lighthouse at all. This sight is quite far from everything so I would not bother going all the way there for another time.
