Visting this place it is easy to see why there was a revolution. The concentration of riches is fantastic. We visited on a tour which was informative. We would have liked more time in the garden, so it would be worth considering an independent visit.

Versailles and Catherine's Palace have a lot in common and it is stunning and also easy to understand why the people revolted. Great tour.

We visited as part of the Alla tour and found this palace to be splendid and as extravagant as many of the other sights. Our guide was wonderful and provided great information and a run through of the main sights. Well worth a visit

Catherine palace is sumptuous to say the least. Lovingly restored. The gardens are green and immaculate. We came with a tour guide which we absolutely recommend. Unfortunately while we skipped the ticket line, there were a number of groups inside which detracts from the enjoyment....More

A visit to Catherine's Palace takes you about half an hour outside of St Petersburg to the town of Pushkin. We had a guide and a driver which made the entire experience easy, informative and very stress free. Hotels can arrange this or prebook from...More
