Lovely walk by the river

This is a lovely walk by the river Wyre and there is loads of free parking. The path can get very muddy even in summer if it's been raining so it's best to wear wellies. You can... read more

Fabulous place for walking the dog, beautiful views, bit muddy but the dogs loved it. Stopped off for coffee and cake, service was shocking waited over half an hour, despite going back into the cafe to inform them of where we were sitting! Great facilities, toilets etc. Would return for a dog walk less likely to return to the cafe,... More

This is a lovely walk by the river Wyre and there is loads of free parking. The path can get very muddy even in summer if it's been raining so it's best to wear wellies. You can walk all the way to Thornton Lodge pub and either retrace your footsteps or come back through the country lanes. The cafe is... More

Beautiful walk along the estuary, check the tide times though as some of the paths are shut at high tide. Cafe is great for family and dogs.

Visited for the first time today. Had to ask for barrier to be opened as we have a roof top box for the wheelchair (signage info for this would be useful). Went to visitors centre first to pick up a map and quickly got introduced to the trampers - a sort of off road mobility scooter. Went to cafe for... More

Fantastic place for a walk in all seasons - just take wellies! You can buy an ice cream half way round too. Play area for the kids is great, nicely protected from the wind too so can be lovely even when there's a breeze.

Just nipped in for a coffee as we are local no one else in young staff just stood around laughing and joking. Tables still with dirty pots, scattered sugar. The floor and down the side of sofas filthy. Glad I didn't eat.

We always enjoy a walk to the country park. A great walking path along the estuary. Great for walking dogs. The new cafe onsite is dog friendly which is great for rainy weather. A lovely full breakfast is served there too! I believe that bat walks and other activities are also carried out here. A fantastic park for children with... More
