My kids and I really enjoyed this park. They loved finding all the sculptures although they did get a little frustrated that they were not numbered so they could check them off their maps. Wear sensible shoes, its a lot of walking on uneven ground.

This place is incredible. The stone carvings were amazing. It would be a fun place to go with children as well.

This was the third time we have visited this area and the idea of "monsters" put us off visiting on the previous two occasions. But, ignore the "monsters" tag, this was originally called the Sacred Wood (sacro bosco). Yes, its got lots of statues and...More

It´s a bizarre park, quite in middle of nothing -thus pretty difficult to arrive without a car- but worth the stop if you´re around. Nature in the park is pretty wild and everywhere you turn you find a rock sculpture with "messages". Has pretty steep...More

This was a wonderful place and I'm sure it is great for children. We were a group of 6 adults and we found this very enjoyable. It was on the small side and the only reason I say that is because once we saw everything,...More

I have visited and studied this magical, high Mannerist (GOOGLE?) sculpture park, known as the Sacro Bosco (Sacred Wood) seven times since 1995 assisting in an archaeological survey in 2015 and researching again within and in the surrounds outside the walls in April, 2017. I probably...More

I really recommend visiting this wonderful park. You won't see anything like it anywhere else. Stone monsters and mythical figures in a glorious setting - with donkeys! It's fabulous. Practicalities- it's quite expensive (but worth it), there are good facilities for children and use the...More

I know that there are some tours from Rome that go to both Viterbo and Bomarzo so this is an option to consider. I had to hire a driver because I can't keep up with groups on walking tours due to an ankle problem. It was... More
