It's a nice stop when you are driving the Transfaragatan highway. Striking view of the lake formed by the dam and on the other side ... dry!

The dam is impressive and as part of a trip is very interesting. Driving up through the mountains then finding the dam. An extra in our trip which was worth it.

Visited as part of the transfagarasan tour, really high dam and until recently they had a bungee jump, guide told us there was an 'accident'

This is a good photo point and stop on the transfagarasan and has a dam where the top gear presenters alegedly slept under.

Even on a damp day, the views were amazing. There was plenty to see and explore. Thankfully, not many people around as parking could be an issue at busy times.

Impressive construction and a must visit while traveling the Transfagarasan. The views are also great and you should take a ride on the boat on the lake. The parking though is a tough one ...
