WOW! What an unforgettable and beautiful excursion! While in Bermuda on a girls trip my friends and I decided to book this excursion because we were looking for something out of the box. I have a major fear of swimming in ocean water (I think...More

Wow, Valerie! Your response certainly supports the truth in statement that you get out of this what you put in. Your feelings of apprehension made you feel that you were doing something more dangerous than it actually was. Thanks you for having such an awesome...More

Hartley Helmet Diving is a fantastic experience! Greg is "in control" the whole time, and monitors everyone like a mother hen. You go out about two miles from the Royal Naval Dockyard to a barrier reef. Once there, Greg takes small groups on a 30-45...More

Thanks Paul for adding to the chorus of 5 star ratings we seem to have had recently. Like I mentioned before, the nitrous oxide seems to be working very well. Being in control does minimize the risk that people will go off on their own...More

This is entirely unique - never seen anything else like it. Our family of 4 (kids 10&8) all went on this trip and had an amazing time. Greg Hartley (the Captain) is an eccentric character who has an obvious passion for teaching people about the...More

Thanks Ian for the 5 star review and all the positive comments. I guess the nitrous oxide supplementing the regular air pumped down to our divers is working. If we switch to hydrogen sulfide then some may say our tour stinks. It pleases me, and...More

Hartley's "helmet diving" is so awesome! It was recommended by a friend, and I'm so glad we did it. We were on a cruise to Bermuda and this was our chosen excursion for the day. (We booked this excursion without the involvement of the cruise...More

This was a real find and excellent value for money with about 40 minutes spent underwater. Neither of us had ever dived before but this was so easy and an amazing experience. Greg escorts you all the way, encouraging fish to dart all around you....More

I booked bc of the reviews and so happy i did it with my family. I had some concerns that my kids, 7 and 10, wouldn't follow directions and drown (Lol). They were fine. For the ear pressure i would suggest to bring gum. They...More

Thanks Tania for the 5 star review and for sharing your perspective on out tour. If the boat is moving while people are in the water hanging onto the rope we call it trolling. If the boat is moored properly then we call it long...More

I have permanent holes in my eardrums and haven't had my head underwater in 20 years. Finally, I was able to go underwater with Hartley's and the day could not have been better. The helmet simply rests on your shoulders. No fear of drowning and...More

Thanks David for taking the time to write a review, a 5 star one at that! So it seems that you have turned your minuses into pluses. The two minuses, being the holes in your ear drums have been turned into pluses of appreciation for...More

We are settling back into our routines at home, but our hearts and minds are still 11 feet below the surface of Bermuda's beautiful water. Greg Hartley provided us with an utterly spectacular experience - he pushed us all beyond our comfort zones, and we...More

Wow Julie. Thanks for such a long, thoughtful and unprompted 5 star review. You have used a whole bunch of words that make me feel very gratified. My purpose has been achieved. My aim is to inspire you as well as give you confidence and...More

So, I went to do this trip based on the reviews of others. I hadn't always wanted to do it but in lieu of shopping with my friends, I wanted to do something unique. This really filled fill the bill. It is something to do...More

Thanks Geologymom for such a long and informative review. If these reviews were prompted by me (Boost our ranking, give us a review!!!) , then the reviews would be very short as the end in mind would simply by to give lots of stars and...More

Thanks RITraveler for taking the time to write a review and to give us 5 stars. The ability to wear glasses is a big plus. I still do not understand how snorkeling is so popular and how folks can not see helmet diving as soooo...More

It takes 3 to 4 hours depending on how many people are on board. You go under in groups so there is some waiting while the other groups are under water.
