Smith street is a deluge of second hand shops, antiques, food shops, posh restaurants, cafes, bars, and everything else in between. If visiting wind in and out of Smith to see the street art and get a gelato at Messina. The cultural mish mash of...More

From charity shops, outlet stores (really good ones, too!!), ethnic restaurants, coffee places, there is a little something for everyone on Smith street.. Plus, all kinds of diverse people. Check it out and don't miss the Keith Haring Mural on Johnston street..

Smith Street has improved over recent years with some interesting restaurants particularly around the Gertrude Street area but it remains a little dowdy and sometimes tacky.

A truly eclectic street, with something for everyone - from the hipsters, to the yuppies, to the teeny boppers and the googly-eyed tourists. Lots of interesting brik and brak shops, as well as top notch (even hatted) restaurants. Worth a googly-eying adventure.

Always something cool happening here - do it by foot from one end to the other. Try Johnston St to Gertrude St via Smith St - pretty ace!
