The monastery was built in 16th century but the beauty of it still hasn't faded. The feeling of peaceful can be felt when reached there. It is also a pollution free zone and clean.

Feel proud of visiting Asia's largest and world's second largest monastery. This is the place which has been a bone of contention between China & India over Tibet. We liked the Nepali dish "Sail Roti" there, which is available during events only

The inner ambience of the monastery is awesome.Recently this place was visited by Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Buddhism religion.One can visit this place along with the war memorial in one day itself.
