If you are at old Goa this is one of the spots in the cluster. So you can visit as a package.
The exhibition hall has displays of historical information. May small children find it boring.
Old model of Portuguese ship is the best display.
The museum is good in the sense that some of the artefacts are really old. They have also given description at many places.
But Goa being a small state, there is not much variety to the museum.

It is not free. They charge Rs:20 per adult. It is not a big museum and photography is prohibited inside. It is near the Sec Cathedral church. If you are not interested in history you would take less than 15 minutes to complete the tour....More
