We took the boat to see the waterfall "Saut de Doubs". It was a warm and sunny day and the ride was calm and slow. You had enough time to see the surrounding nature, which is beautiful. The water was low, which gave a very...More

The lake was very low due to the drough, so the waterfall wasn't there, but even without that this little boat trip, and the small walk, was really great. You feel surrounded by nature, and we even got to see some wild animals that felt...More

Boat trip is nice with interesting comments from the captain on the history and wildlife information. Then 10minutes walk to reach the fall. A bridge give the option to go on the French or the swiss border. Honestly not sure that make any significant difference...More

One of the brochures which inspired me to visit Sault du Doubs described it as the Niagara Falls of France. Well, it's nothing like Niagara Falls in anyway other than the fact that it's a waterfall. Rheinfall or Rhine Falls (http://www.rheinfall.ch/en/) in Switzerland is a...More

It's the border of France with Swiss, the river is separating them. Each side you see lots of beautiful trees and a non-end nature. Sometimes a small house appears in there, sometimes a grotto or a waterfall. Amazing and not very famous place to be.

Nice little walk from Les Brenets to the falls. The path was paved almost all the way to the falls (only the last 300m is a dirt road, but ok for strollers). You can visit the falls from both the Swiss or the French side...More

It seems most of visitors are approaching the Doubs falls from France. Suggest an alternative: Start in Le Locle, hop on an modest train to Les Brenets, walk either to the falls, or take a trip by boat with a 10 minutes walk. If you...More
