Different church ornaments, is known for its altarpiece sculpted by Bror Hjorth. The church is built in the timber coffin design, a design that is the only preserved in the country.

The church is just past the Old Homestead and opposite the Sami village. The church is very old and built with unique architecture and fascinating artwork. It is cosy and welcoming made mainly of wood. Well worth a visit.

We stayed at the ice hotel and found the local people to be nothing but welcoming. It is a small simple and beautiful town and area. It's nice to feel welcome and at home so many miles from home.

We visited mid-Feb - the church interior is not what we're used to back home and that made it all the more delightful - this was a plain simple country church - the triptych was interesting and the church humbling. Well worth a visit

The church is beautiful but I will certainly not drive along distance to visit it. If you stay at the Icehotel it is an easy walk and certainly time well spend.

Nice little church build in the 18th century when the first christian missionaries came to Lappland. Lots of history, beautiful altar paintings and pipe organ. No entrance fee.

Not sure but we were there in February when the IceHotel was open and the church was unlocked and unattended during the day.
