Great Spot
Oct 2021
The welcome centre gives you a wonderful view of Burk’s Falls. The best place to see it is from the cute covered bridge. Also can view the Magnetewan River as it flows towards the east.

Small town, okay spot for a photo
Jul 2020 • Friends
We visited this place few weeks ago but unfortunately the welcome centre was closed. I was trying to look for the covered bridge and didn't realized that it is located just beside the centre. I was expecting more of a bigger and longer covered bridge. And the falls is more of a water dam. It is a small quite town.

Excellent little bakery

We stopped in here to check out the bakery, sure glad we did. Emily is the barista and the info for the information center. Definetly stop in and see for yourself!

A sweet spot for leg-stretching.

Visiting the area, stopped in to see what the bakery held. A better cheese and bacon muffin I have not had. Delicious, and very filling. Staff quite nice, we had a tick talk. Then took a walk over to the covered bridge and saw the falls. Grabbed a local geocache! Saw the sculpture of Greg Boyes (by artist Peter Camani) the Canadian arm wrestling champion and hometown boy. A welcome respite from sitting in a car.

Stopped here to stretch my legs and check out the little bakery. I had the best raisin butter tart that I have ever had in my entire life! I highly recommend you give them a try..also....the view from the bridge is very nice.

Nice stop for a break
Jul 2019 • Family
The Welcome Centre has a coffee and Ice cream shop, also washrooms. There is really not much to do otherwise but to take a little walk along Heritage River walk looking over the manmade falls.
Good Spot for some photos and stretch out your legs while travelling on hwy#11.

Very nice spot for a walk with water views. The covered bridge has views of the falls. The shop was very tasty treats and there are washrooms there.. we stopped in for about 30 mins and it was a nice intro to burks falls

Good spot and a nice town
Feb 2019 • Family
Burks falls is a nice town and the welcome centre is where you can begin the Heritage Walk.
They have a small parking area, and the heritage walk just behind the centre has a nice little covered bridge which is a good spot for photos.
Also photos of the dam during winter were amazing, especially since the falls had frozen.
Moreover the view from the bridge of the river and town was pretty nice.

What a little gem

Awesome place to stop. The staff is warm and friendly and the baked goods and coffee are excellent.
The view is gorgeous and if you need WiFi you’ve got it.
Every time we come up to our cottage we come for coffee, what a good way to start the day! Oh almost forgot try their Kawartha ice cream and by the way if you are celebrating a birthday you can order your cake.

They also provide travel information.
