We were invited for a beautiful decorated wedding with perfect dinner and very friendly service in the main building. Surprising how well everything worked with a remote kitchen.

This is a very interesting castle with extensive grounds. We were here for a family wedding, so perhaps my view is slanted a bit. The entrance is along a tree lined avenue, through outer gates, then across a moat and into the inner courtyard. There are paths which lead through different gardens and around a small lakes, giving wonderful views... More

This is a typical German Park and Garden, including a Water Castle (Schloss). You have areas with gardens, flowers, woods, natural paths, and the beautiful castle, along with Cafes and a Farmer's Market where, in the fall, you can get all kinds of fruits, mostly apples. I have visited this park many times and have fond childhood memories of walking... More

A couple of friends and me decided to pay Schloss Dyck a visit and we were not disappointed. The entrance fee is 9 Euro but the area is quite big and you can easily spent a few hours there. They have a few cafes also. We spent a lot of time in the flower gardens and walking through nature. There... More

Schloss Dyck is an attractive looking and imposing moated castle standing in beautiful grounds. Great for walks in the surrounding parkland which includes a lake, wooded areas and many plant varieties. The interior of the castle has a number of rooms on two floors which are open to the public, some of which contained visiting exhibitions but many are empty... More

The Garden and Castle of Dyck is located between Düsseldorf and Cologne, 30 mins drive from either, making it a good stopover for travel between cities. The garden was nice, organised with a good variety of plants, as long as you don't compare it with the grandeur of Versailles or Kew Gardens. A walk in the garden and around the... More

The best thing was that you could walk around the place without being squashed & shoved, which is not possible in the inner city on the third advent Sunday. The market stretches out over the ample grounds, which also has the benefit that the vendors have more space to show their wares. Some sold simple things, a lot sold quality... More

I had the opportunity to travel to Germany on business. While there, I made no secret of my desire to visit an old, historical German castle. One of my colleagues recommended Schloss Dyck. The castle, which is even surrounded by a moat, is beautfiful and the main portion is impecabbly maintained. Some re-construction of the surrounding buildings is ongoing, but... More

This is a very well preserved castle. Its surroundings is worth a walk. I spent a couple of hours there and it was enough to see everything. There are many areas where you can take a nice photo. There is a nice restaurant inside with good food and dessert. It's worth a visit.
