This place is worth visiting once if you are in/around Vienna. Its accessible by public transport as well. Entrance ticket is 10 Euros and it's a guided tour of around 20 mins. At the end of the tour there's a boat ride. Guide speaks English/Deutsch....More

We went to the nearby castle then walked to the mine. 11 euros per adult for the tour and a boat ride at the end. It was nice to have a day out of the city and we managed to get everywhere on public transport.

Yes, it is possible but the connections are few and are in between! be sure to check the timetables for week ends. You may want to take the train out of Vienna by 11 AM to be bale to visit both places with adequate time. It... More
