West Bay is what many consider the picture-perfect Caribbean destination: white sand, clear, calm waters and full service resorts. The variety of water activities include scuba diving, fishing charters, snorkeling and parasailing. Scuba diving and other outfitters leave directly from the beach so starting your water-based activities is easy and convenient.

West Bay Beach is one of the nicest you will find. The snorkeling right off the beach especially down towards Infinity is beautiful. There are lots of vendors but just tell them "no thanks" if you are not interested, they will be back if you...More

We had an incredible time. It's an affordable spot, with lots of food options and possibilities for adventure; unless you are like us and just trying to escape the Mahogany Bay crowd from the ships. Ask for Franklin, a considerate guide who will either give...More

I've been to various islands in the Caribbean, but the clear waters on West Bay Beach in Roatan take the cake. Just stunning.

This is a truly truly beautiful beach with brilliant white sand, clear turquoise blue waters, and a thriving coral reef a short swim offshore. You can walk barefoot through the soft sand and stop for a dip in the water to cool off as needed....More

PLEASE!!! If you are staying at Infinity Bay or anywhere close by, ask the locals hanging around the dock by the water taxis for NELSON HERNANDEZ. We had the most amazing days with him as our private boat captain. Most tours ask $180 per person...More

Let me say first of all that the beach and water are gorgeous here. That is not the issue. We had been to the same beach (Tabyana club) 3 years ago and there was also peddling, but it has gone to a whole other level....More

We went to west end bay to check it out since we have not been there for 11yrs. It seemed like every ten steps someone wanted to sell you something. There were way too many people there. If you like crowds that's the place to...More

"My family and I had such an awesome cruise vacation, and this was the highlight of our trip, once we docked in Roatan. We had booked a Catamaran tour through a private operator which turned out to be the best decision we made. We got...More

I think all of those who responded before me gave accurate information and good options. I took a cab from the airport and it cost $30. It was about 30 minutes, but there were no ships in port so probably less traffic.
