The quality of the snorkeling is great but be careful because the tides can be strong. The best snorkeling is a fair way out. The beach is ok but there are many better beaches nearby. It does have a shower on the beach and toilets...More

Almost the entire reef is dead, and, thus, there's almost nothing of interest here except for the occasional stray fish. We left with sadness and even greater concern over the state of our planet. What a shame.

This is a very nice, clean public beach, but I marked it as average due to the condition of the coral reefs there. We have snorkeled all over the Caribbean, and bleaching is occurring on many of the reefs, but this is the worse case...More

Great beach, we spent a couple of hours snorkelling and relaxing here the kids loved it. Not sure why it has had negative comments, it has a visitors centre, beachside showers, picnic tables and lifeguard tower. You'll need to bring your own chairs and snorkel...More

Brought our snorkeling gear and enjoyed an afternoon of snorkeling and swimming. Busy with local families enjoying the day, and tourists doing the same. A great stop if in HOletown.

It is a good opportunity for people to snorkel straight from the beach. There is coral re-growth and a number of species of fish. My 5 year old had a fabulous time snorkelling here. She had never snorkelled before so this was easy and had...More

Firstly, these negative reviews - I suspect these come from people who like Disneyland and zoos, where everything is plastic, fake, or held captive for their personal amusement. Folkestone is a free beach used by locals and tourists. It may be a bit scruffy round...More

Just glide out into water and you will see multitude of fish in clear calm safe waters. Loads of natural shade . Go along boardwalk to adjacent beaches for more action and jumping platforms . Sunday very busy with post church family picnics

Very quiet early in the morning, easy to access, good fish within yards of the beach. We saw a couple of big shoals. They won't swarm around you like they do elsewhere when boat tours are feeding them, this is a much more natural experience....More
