Great place to view aeroplanes taking off and landing at Manchester Airport. The main visitor viewing points are raised so enable viewing of planes over the security perimeter fence. There are a number of historical exhibits, including Concorde and Nimrod and we would like to have viewed these but time constraints meant that we only had an hour to spare... More

We've been here a couple of times, once in June last year and again today, both times with our Daughter who is 2 years old. It's obviously a great place to view the aircraft but it has nothing else to offer. There is a very poorly thought out play area which is incredibly muddy (even in dry weather). If they'd... More

Visited with hubby and our two children 3.& 8 yrs. paid for a tour of Concorde which was brill. The guide was very informative. Kids loves it out in the viewing platform watching the planes land the only thing that let the say down was the weather!

First time visiting MAN with my friend. I live nearby to Heathrow where I find spotting isn't great. At the visitor park though it is excellent, you can see over the fences and get some great shots. I wish though there was more area that overlooked the fence as the spots got particularly busy at times. We also did the... More

Came here as we haven't been here in a long time. On the way in you have to get a parking ticket. Came to the visiting centre, however you have to book in advance and as it was January it was cold and there wasn't many planes taking off. So we left after around 20 mins and we still HAD... More

We visited on a damp cold day and we did brace the cold in the outside viewing area for a short time. We booked the Concorde tour which was excellent. The guide was an ex Concorde pilot who eloquently described what it was like to fly one of these magnificent aircraft. It is really good that the only access to... More

We went on a cold but dry day. Parking is easy and plentiful. There are raised areas for watching the planes come in and go out on the runway. Also the café has big windows and is a good viewing area. There is a Concorde in the hanger next to the café. You can also have meals there and also... More

Yesterday I went to the runway park on a cold and wet day which was fine but we choose to sit in the car for a bit with the heaters on. I had the heating on with the engine running and then turned the engine off. I then discovered that my battery had died and as a young driver it... More

On a rainy day in Manchester I had some time to kill at Manchester airport before booking in at a hotel nearby for the night. This review covers a short notice visit to the centre on a wet day using public transport rather than a planned drive to the centre that most would do. Firstly the visitor centre is not... More
