This was a great experience! I enjoyed the drive out to uxbridge...beautiful city! The train ride was very good & the conductors & the clown very funny & pleasant including the snack bar staff..very helpful. It was worth what I paid & I would highly recommend this outing for a family. It was nice being on a "choo choo" train.... More

Took the train ride from Uxbridge to Goodwood and return on the 10/15/16. There were not much colored leaves left. I think the colors have peaked some time back. Ride was a disappointment.

We went on a 90 minute round trip from Uxbridge to Goodwood (non-stop). It was advertised as a fall foliage viewing trip but unfortunately the views from the train were much poorer than from our car on our drive to Uxbridge... Most of the time the train goes through a forest and you get real close ups of evergreen trees... More

Thank you for your review. The scenery changes from year to year and is different in each part of the line. The longer Sunday trips to Stouffville offer more opportunity for fall colour viewing but we offer both types of trips to meet the needs of all of our guests. We hope we can have you back for a different... More

This rail trip popped up on Facebook so we decided to try it. Booked a trip to Stouffville and back with a nice stop as well. Had time to sit and enjoy a coffee and pastry at a local bistro. The train cars are from 1953, some have tables with chairs and done just comfortable seating. We met 2 great... More

Today, was a great adventure with by one year old and four year old. We took them on this teddy bear train ride, Doctor Bear gave the teddies a check up on the way there. On the way back there was a team, a musician and balloon artist who entertained both the girls and us adults. I would highly recommend... More

Day out with Thomas. For a five year who has loved Thomas for as long as he can remember.... He was looking forward to this day for months! He was not disappointed. We didn't know what to expect but for an event we couldn't see coming back around before his interests took him other places, it was worth it to... More

The train was exciting for my 3-year old grand daughter - the best part was watching Thomas on the tracks outside of the venue. Inside, definitely not worth the $30 ticket. The play areas are really hokey and they don't even have real bathrooms. Dirty, port-o-potties, no soap in the hand-washing station, yuck. Crowded, small. We frequent Santa's Village in... More

Hi. Thank you for your comments. It should be noted that this review is for a weekend event *not* created by the York-Durham Heritage Railway, but by Mattel and its promoter. Day Out With Thomas is an event that is not typical of our regular season train rides, and as such, we do not have full control over the offerings... More

...this is your chance to stop and look around. This is an excellent summer weekend day trip for couples, retired or with young kids or grandkids. It's impressive to see first generation 1950's diesels built in Montreal Canada still running or prewar passenger cars that once took men on their path to Normandy. It's a museum in wheels. There are... More

If you have young children and Christmas is important to your family, I would highly recommend this Santa Train excursion. The ride itself is scenic. There's a magician, balloons, singers, and Santa himself was a dear fellow and excellent with the kids. He worked hard to get to everyone in the hour. And I thought the festive décor on the... More

On November 22, my family had a great time on the Santa train. My youngest son's 2nd birthday was on November 23, so we took the opportunity to celebrate with his favorite thing, trains! We were in coach 106 on the 11:00 am train. We travelled with my three children (ages 2, 6 & 10), my niece and nephew (ages... More
