Our driver Agas was great, even swapped shoes with me and went and got mine fixed when they broke :) :)

The knowledge and enthusiasm of the guide Aziz was fantastic, he really made it special and worth every cent paid for the tour.

thanks to both for a great day!

We came to the Proboscis Monkey Centre in time for the feeding, whilst there were no Proboscis around, there were a troupe of sleepy Silver Monkeys around the platforms.

The guides placed some bits of food on to the feeding platforms and made some monkey calls and eventually they came, we could see them coming through the trees, the young came out first then some of the older females followed by the big male.

It was interesting to witness the hierarchy within the troupe.

What a fantastic place this is, such a worthwhile sanctuary these beautiful creatures look so happy, a good mix of young babies and young adults to be seen here, from the feeding tables and to seeing them in the trees above.
We were lucky enough to see them for two feeding sessions one in the morning and one later in the afternoon , less orangutans in the afternoon but caught a great video of mum with her baby eating a coconut.

There are also three areas opposite of sun bears, not so easy to see, but eventually we did see them.

There were only 5-6 orang utans in the morning feeding time. When we came back at 3pm, none were around. It was a disappointment. When asked a caretaker, he mentioned they were full from eating all day. Then why have the 3pm feeding time???
I came here 20years back where there were more than 20 males and females that came to feed.
    It was a good experience

Visit is very well planned starting with a video of the work being carried out by the Malaysian government and the OrangUtanuk charity . We paid the 10MR to take our camera but no charge for mobile phone pictures. However when the mother and her baby came to eat at the feeding station I just enjoyed the moment and didn’t take many photos. In the memory banks.
Our guide took us on to the nursery where the baby orphans were to be fed too. Watched them from behind glass -to protect them from us -but they were fun to watch and very playful. Congratulations to the staff and all the volunteers for the great work they are doing to conserve this amazing man of the forest. Manynthanks

By far the best group tour we have been on.Our local Guide Adam and Driver Charles were fantastic from start to finish, always on hand to translate, teach us about local traditions and recommend food.

Both Adam and Charles spoke very good english and had an abundance of knowledge about the local people, animals and History.

The Tour is slightly more expensive than other Sabah tours but it was definitely worth it.

-The accommodation is unique and high quality, the highlight of which is the 2 night Jungle Camp on the Kinabatangan river. We had our own cabin with electricity and a fan

-Most meals are included so we didn't need to budget too much , i think we spent about MYR 300 each over the 10 days (mostly on beers)

-Journeys are around 3-4 hours between each town so days aren't wasted In the Van.

    - The included activities were more than enough, we didn't feel the need to add on anything. 4 jungle river cruises and 2 night walks, Sunbear and Orang-utan centre visits, Turtle conservation centre and Kinabalu NP.

The general pace of the tour is well planned and we never got bored or felt rushed anywhere.

We came across tour groups from different companies who werent happy about paying extra for things we had included like entrance fees etc, so overall we are glad we picked Stray.
