The little waterfall and pond used to be the washing point of Saint Benedict
It’s situated on the Aniene river .
The Villa Of Nerone , situated nearby , used this water to power the swimming pool

We visited Genazzano and on our way we stopped next to this bridge. This bridge is authentic and its simplicity makes it a work of art.

Subiaco is the place where Saint Benedict prayed in a cave. Food was lowered down to him. Then they built a church over the cave. It is quite an experience to visit the cave. You can either rent a car or hire a driver which in Rome is very expensive. It is not too hard to find and is worth the effort. If want to have a really cool day on the way back stop in Tivoli and visit Vila D' Este which is the best water show of fountains in the world. Have a late lunch at the fantastic Sabillo restaurant which has a Roman Temple next to it. Best view of any restaurant in Italy

The site is just a small site of ruins. They should rebuild it, but yes, some people like everything being in ruins.
