- AufaMalaysia36 contributionsHiking
We took the easiest trail 😅 Took us around 20minutes.
Went there early morning to avoiding the crowd.Written 22 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. But that didn't stop us to experience the hot springs which was located on the little uphill. Yes it was a hot one but not boiling😊! It was said that the hot natural spring water could heal the skin condition or even give you the good blood circulation.
The kids & adults enjoyed swimming in the stream.
There are a number of chalets there; Malay 'kampung' or village styles with surprisingly that the bathrooms have the modern touch.
You could also try the local snacks and the light meals at the nearby shops.Written 20 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - It is quite safe to swim here
- The beach is also a popular spot for family outings, picnics and enjoying sunsets
- The Bukit Keluang (Keluang Hill) is famous for its sunrise watching activity which it will take 20-25mins to hike
- Or you may ride a banana boat to nearby island; Pulau Rhu which you can enjoy snorkeling activities
- There are also a few caves that you may want to explore
- There is sufficient n free parking
- It may be crowded during weekend n public holidays
- There are quite a number of food stalls to buy food from
- However, the beach is not clean; there are trash everywhere like plastic bags
- Some facilities is not well maintained and need to upgrade
- A wooden walkway along the cliff edge is totally broken
- Poor toilet conditionWritten 8 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The only downside was that it was a bit of a white knuckle ride by taxi on the way back to the airport from the jetty thanks to the driver. We nearly had a few head on collisions. We have travelled around Asia including Cambodia, India and Laos and it was the worst driving we had experienced. However the driver on the way to the jetty from the airport was fine.
Our children's reviews:
9 year old - It was quick and got us there safely. The staff helped us on and off the boat. We got life jackets too.
5 year old - it was good and I loved it.Written 12 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Camila GLondon, UK5 contributionsThe school seems to be very organized and concerned about all clients wellbeing. I had to do a refresher course and after filling the questionnaire, we went through each question to discuss our answers. For someone that doesn't have much experience like me, that provides a lot of reassurance and makes one feel at ease. Jessie is super enthusiastic and passionate about her job and I'm very happy I chose this center.Written 15 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Giuls112 contributionsMilena and Jordi are excellent dive masters, perfect teachers and lovely people! They always explain everything in detail and with enthusiasm. The advanced open water course was a great experience, the best dives we ever had. They make you feel comfortable and love diving in the Perenthian paradise! They took care of us for 3days and we enjoyed very much spending our time with them.
If you want to dive in the Perenthian, you should do it with them!Written 15 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was discovered scuba diving . Both are conducting PADI discovery diving & deep water diving. Our fees for one discovery dive was RM180/pax. Which is bit costly but it is worth to do. They normally make group of 4 per instructor. But for us it was group of 2 per instructor. They provide wetsuit. & allother equipment required for scuba + training to use them . Normally for discover diving they will take you to KK beach on Perhentian Basar (Big Island)Written 23 April 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MG-travelino1 contributionI learned diving from Nafi. He took his time, and fit the open water course in the time that I had. I was lucky and got private lessons but as I understood they never go in big groups anyways.
It felt that he went over everything and I feel save to do a fun dive.(with an instructor)
off course after this you still need to learn a lot more and you now know the basics only.
But this dive school is fine for learning. I had fun and saw some great fish including turtles, a huge stingray(or manta?) and tiny sharks.
Fun diving and other courses are also still possible.
I know the website is out, but remember the dive masters might not have anything to do whit what the boss fail to pay for.Written 23 March 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Francisco AKuala Lumpur, Malaysia160 contributionsExceptional Dive Centre.
As an instructor myself, I can tell that having the quality of equipment, boat, pool and spaces in general is hard to find.
Either if you are trying for you first time, starting your open water or already experience diver, YBD will be great.
This is a really hard working team, they know what they do, very young and festive team, taking care of every detail. And special thanks to Jinn for accommodating everything for my wife's birthday with some special extra long dives.
At the time of our visit (July 2024), the corals were experiencing massive bleaching in some areas but still the dive sites have so much to offer, just pay attention and go slow ;).
We spotted several nudis; bamboo sharks, some humpheads, barracudas and many more.
Totally recommended even if you are experienced and the conditions are not the best, YBD team will be a great host.Written 12 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
