First ever family camping trip to Elie. It was fantastic and we'd definitely come back again. Tent pitches were fine, electric hook up, plenty of space and camping on grass. Didn't feel as though we were crammed in or with other tents on top of us despite it being fully booked.
Park is right at Shell Bay beach, has a good kids play area, arcade, shop, restaurant, cafe and bar/entertainment space with pool table, darts and big screen TV showing sport. We also arrange for kids to go rock pooling with a Countryside Ranger which was great fun. Also the evening entertainment provided in the bar was superb and my kids (4 & 6) had a wonderful time.
The toilet and shower block has plenty of cubicles as well as a dish washing space and laundry.
My only, relatively minor, complaint would be the restaurant is so busy and needs to be booked in advance and isn't open at all on a Wednesday night. At the same time the cafe next door didn't serve hot food until 4:30pm which meant a bit of waiting about with hungry kids one day.

Travelled with family who live in Scotland and did not know what this landmark was. A lovely piece of history on the coast. Need to research to add to the experience. Worth the drive.

Also known as Elie Parish Church, this is a listed building , with the oldest surviving part being the distinctive clock-tower, which dates to 1726. The body of the church was rebuilt in 1831. An earlier Kirk was built on this site in 1639 by architect William Burn, and the adjoining graveyard 🪦 dates from this period, with many interesting ancient tombstones amongst the well-kept grounds, and a watch-tower at the gates. Inside are “Russell” stained glass windows, as well as four designed by Edward Burne-Jones of the Pre-Raphaelite brotherhood. This lovely church is still in ecclesiastical use.

Lovely time on putting green for four very amateur ladies. Chap in pro-shop was a bit condescending but that aside, a nice morning spent here.

While staying nearby at bonerbo farm lodges we often pass this shop but never used it, so today I thought I’d pop in and what a lovely surprise it was too!!! Amazingly well stocked with the best produce all looking so fresh I could have bought everything 😀 but settled on steak pie chips and peas, we took it back to the lodge to cook and WOW it was delicious the steak melted in the mouth !! Also the cakes we bought were delicious too, would definitely return next time up on holiday and anyone staying nearby looking for something for tea pop in you won’t be disappointed 👍🏻

This is really a rather modest war memorial that can be found set fittingly into the external wall of Elie Parish Church ⛪️, on the corner junction between Park Place and High Street. It’s dedicated to the memory of the residents of Elie Earlsferry , who lost their lives or went missing in both World Wars - with the names of those killed/missing in the Great War inscribed on a centre stone , and the names of the fallen from World War II inscribed on bronze plaques either side of the centrepiece. It was unveiled on 21/04/1921, and every resident in the village was respectfully expected to attend.

This is the pretty little village green - shaded with trees, and equipped with benches and picnic tables between little flower patches. It’s called the Toll Green , as it historically used to be the site where there was a Toll barrier on where the Toll road once was. The cast-iron structure here , often referred to as a fountain, was actually a cow-tailed water pump designed by George Smith & Co Sun Foundry of Glasgow in 1869. It’s believed to be the only one of it’s kind still in existence. Have a look in the covered bus-stop at the south end of the green, as it’s interior is decorated with lots of historical old photographs of the locality.
