This place is absolutely amazing. Very beautiful buildings and lots of cool history. There are some modern parts to this as you will see typical fast food places, but the historic town of Bruges is absolutely stunning to visit. The wife and I had an amazing time here. Plenty of really cool old buildings and some interesting history about an certain center section of town. Won't spoil it, but if you go you will know what I mean and find it interesting as well.

Based over 3/4 levels with 20+ platforms this is a very large station. Some of the central archetecture is beautiful. Easy to get around as well sign posted as I had to change from platform 22 to 3

We expected to have to pay to visit this venue, which is impressive and is a must see. However its payment by card only. However, thanks go to the lady who worked there, who paid on her card and let us give her the cash! Its a hard climb up the 366 steps to the top, but its worth it. If you climb up just before the hour, be prepared for the bells chiming which are very loud. Great views from the top!

We saw the sign for this free concert by accident as we walked around Bruges exploring, and made a point of going back for the final concert of the day at 6.30 - it was the best experience of our visit!

Luc is an extraordinarily talented harpist, composer and musical instrument craftsman, and a charming, engaging performer. His playing was utterly beautiful, and his interaction with the audience and introduction to the captivating history of harps and the myriad different versions of this lovely instrument was fascinating.

You must go if you’re visiting Bruges - but one word of warning - please arrive on time so you don’t disturb the performance!! At the concert we went to, lots of people came in late, opening and closing the door (or leaving it open, which was even worse!) and rustling their coats. It was very distracting and very disrespectful to this lovely musician performing for us all for free. Check the times and get there early. You will not regret it!

This is a solid must visit in Ghent. The included audio guide by Wouter Deprez is very nice. Nice and funny way to learn about this beautiful structure

We had great and funny tour guides and just a great experience. I can’t the best part was the beer at the end of the tour. They have really great beer and wonderful brewery story and staff.

This church is a sacred place, containing what is purported to be a file containing Christs blood. You can pay respects to the file whilst in the church. However our visit was spoilt by other visitors who didn't seem to have any respect for the building and were loud. There are signs everywhere asking for silence which are ignored.

Another one of the absolutely amazing towns we visited while in Belgium. This one is especially good for the beer aficionados in the group. There are a lot, and I mean a lot of different cool and interesting beers to try here. There is also plenty to see for the non beer drinkers as well. It is the best of both worlds. If you like old architecture and things like that then you are in luck. Cool history so I recommend a guided tour before exploring on your own.

This is the heart of the old town, where a couple of canals come together, so you will see lots of canal houses. Most structures have cafes or restaurants on the ground level, so on a sunny day, you can sit on the terrace and enjoy all of the history and charm. The pretty center of town.

If youre wanting to visit the Ghent altar piece be prepared to have to pay, contrary to what some guide books say. There is a charge to get into the higher part of the Cathedral. There was a quite unhelpful guy on the desk who informed us that you can only pay by car and made us go to the Cathedral shop, pay there and then produce a receipt. The altar piece itself is behind glass so be prepared to have people stood right up the glass blocking everyone's view. However, if you wait long enough you get the odd gap. After all that its worth viewing.

Very early in the morning, when the city was not yet filled with tourist groups, my husband and I came to this unusually beautiful square. What a beauty! Burg Square located at the heart of old town just couple steps from Markt (main plaza). For over a thousand years, this opulent square has been Bruges' historic birthplace, political center, and religious heart. Today it's still the place where the citizens of Bruges carry on timeless traditions in local festivals, parades, outdoor concerts.
Pay attention, you are surrounded by six centuries of architecture - Romanesque Basilica of the Holy Blood (where you can see in particular hours the glass tube with the drops of Christ's blood), Gothic City Hall, Baroque Provost's House and modern Crown Plaza Hotel, which sits atop thousand-year-old ruins. You can visit each of these buildings. And an hour after we arrived here, the morning deserted square was filled with people, locals and tourists, with their smiles, joy and great interest in the sights of the city. What a beautiful Bruges!!!
