What travellers are saying
- KristieColumbia, MO82 contributionsI love traveling in the offseason/shoulder season. The beach was nearly empty! It really is as beautiful as you imagine it could be. The water is pristine, the sand is pink, the locals are friendly. This is a special place! We didn't have snorkeling equipment, but I literally just WALKED into the water (to the right, as you face the ocean) amid the rocks and LOOKED at the tropical fish in the crystal clear waters!! We will be back, and soon!!Written 8 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Matt SBrighton, MI2,435 contributionsWe opted for a tour of just the Crystal Cavern. The best value is to reserve ahead and do both tours (both price wise, and waiting-wise). We did neither; we bought tickets for the Crystal Caves in-person. We had about an hour to an hour and a half wait before our time, so we walked around the small admissions area and gift shop, and sat on the patio soaking in some sun.
When we got to our time, we were paged over loudspeaker to assemble under an awning; once our designated group was assembled, we were led on a short walk to the cave entrance. The tour guide throughout our visit was excellent! The tour consisted, understandably, of some climbing and grade changes, but the end result was a beautiful view of the caves, with and without lights on. The guide made sure that everyone in our group was able to rotate through some viewing points for photo opportunities. The floating walkway was also a great asset, as the clearance between the walkway and the ceiling changed noticeably just in our tour!
Our tour guide was fantastic, and the caves beautiful. We're glad we did it; our only regret was not doing the Fantasy Cave as well.Written 4 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Incredible views and great vibes, with a staff team that ensures you're always having a good time. Their frozen drink menu is delicious and pretty unique (frozen Dark n' Stormy? don't mind if i do!). And their wahoo nuggets are a must-have.
And, as a Bermudian who lives just a 15 minute walk from here, it's their rum swizzle that keeps me coming back. To me, it's the best.Written 25 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It didn’t disappoint! 188 stairs up and the view was everything! Even at the bottom the view of Bermuda was incredible. They had a wonderful gift shop and great staff!Written 26 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LibbyToronto, Canada10 contributionsLovely spot - our ship docked there and there was lots to see and do. Museum was great. We also made use of the local bus to Hamilton. Met lots of characters on the bus. Had a nice time on the island. Because all the food has to be brought in - it is expensive to eat here. My favourite thing was listening to the tree frogs at night. They whistle.Written 3 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- psudinoWeehawken, NJ4,150 contributionsMuch like most of Bermuda, even though this is really close to the cruise port it is not a tourist trap. This is an actual old military fort and it is extremely well kept and located on beautiful grounds. It's easy to walk around and when you get to the second floor of the building you are rewarded with beautiful views. If you are waiting around for an Excursion or your Excursion ended but you don't want to get back in the cruise ship this is a great place to go.Written 24 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - sstaleyUpminster, UK718 contributionsWe enjoyed a Christmas and New Year break in Bermuda, blessed with favorable weather. Experiencing Christmas at Elbow Beach, mingling with locals, made for unforgettable moments.
Though the Atlantic water was chilly in December, it was bearable for those accustomed to swimming in the sea during the UK's spring and early summer. The temperature, ranging between 17 - 19 degrees, allowed us to spend the entire day at the beach, with a subtle weather change around midday.
Elbow Beach, a lengthy white expanse, offers a picturesque walking trail connecting Warwick Long Beach and Horseshoe Beach for those seeking a leisurely stroll.Written 21 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We Loved learning about the Lionfish that was a Highlight of the displays for us...
The museum also had some interesting facts...One in particular regards natural treatments for illness....! Made you squirm just reading about them...
The zoo its not massive but still getting up close to the Alligator and learning a little bit about them was fascinating and a highlight....
Last of all a visit to the small restaurant is Highly recommended a Lovely Lass (Sandy) runs it making her own snacks she is Super friendly and it was a pleasure just to spend some time there....Written 17 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The vibrant pink hue of the sand and the natural beauty left me in awe, making the experience truly incredible.
A delightful walk along the beach revealed a charming viewpoint at one end, where climbing a set of steps rewarded us with a postcard-worthy view.
Our time in Bermuda was truly memorable, marking my 23rd visit country and standing out as my favorite by far.Written 21 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jrs576Philadelphia, PA164 contributionsNice little church and historic cemetery. Only takes a few minutes to see. Pews have little doors to enter into a seating section, that was unique for me and made it more interesting. Few silver antiquities in a safe were nice to see. See if in St. George but don’t trek there just for this.Written 29 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CanadianCurlyfryEdson, Canada52 contributionsThis street in Hamilton was adorable. I loved walking along here, with the water to one side and the colourful buildings on the other side. It was clean and felt very safe while we were here.Written 14 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
