We went to the Bay of Pigs, a cenote, crocodile farm, a swim in the beautiful and warm Caribbean Ocean and stops along the way to hand out the many gifts we brought for the beautiful Cuban people! - Emi H4 contributionsWe had a very good experience with George as our guide! He was very patient with everyone in our group. He sized up my youngest daughter and because she was smaller he gave her a wetsuit so she wouldn't be cold in the water. While in the water snorkeling he brought along some food for the fish and it was a feeding frenzy right in front of our eyes! So cool! When we got back one of the ladies in our group wanted to use the bathroom and George offered to give her some pesos for toilet paper. This is just another example of how kind and accommodating he was throughout our time with him. We headed to Saturno cave which was amazing! The water is so clear and has a silky quality to it, probably because it's filled with minerals. That was a really neat experience too. Using WhatsApp, I had frequent and thorough conversation with Magdiel. He was able to offer suggestions for things to visit in each city, and very much felt like I was able to customize everything.
For $285/day, two adults received accommodations with breakfast and a full time driver in a classic car with AC and a tour guide. These relationships are key, and make the trip.
For the tour guide, I am so pleased they paired us with Erik. He was friendly, knowledgeable and customer-service focused. He got to know us, our style, and educated us on the way of life for the average Cuban people. His English was fantastic and put us at ease wherever we went. We didn’t want to see a curated side of the country, but how average people lived. He took us to see just that. We wanted long days filled with things to see, and he made it happen.
Yusiel was a great driver, always had a smile, quick to open a door, though doesn’t speak English. No problem, he didn’t have to and did his job well. The car was in good shape considering it was from the 50s.

We saw a lot of fish and corals. The trip was overall smooth and our driver was friendly too. - Rachel T5 contributionsWell Yodanis was amazing, really helpful, prompt, great character, fab car, he took us to Cienaga de Zapata National Park to meet up with a guide to see the flamingoes, then for a snorkel in the Bay of Pigs sea, a local lunch in a yummy restaurant, humming birds and crocodiles and he really looked after us. - Deltra W2 contributionsRaul and our wonderful driver took us to Havana in a 1955 Plymouth Belvedere. Raul was extremely knowledgeable and catered to all our needs. We saw the historic buildings and squares of old Havana. We had lunch at an exceptional restaurant, called La Esquina de Cuba. Then Raul took us to the gold domed Capital building and the National Hotel. It was a truly amazing experience!

- DwabrewerMelville, Canada77 contributionsJeep tour, snorkeling, speed boat trip, cenotaph swim..awesome tour with knowledgeable guides and instructors. Starts off with jeeps ..standard tranny…be prepared to drive a standard but if u can’t they will match you up with someone that can. Snorkel with instructors and beautiful coral and fish. Next speed boat tour with your own boat for 4 people . Lunch in the hills and nice activities there. Next , cenote swim in underground cave. Tour is in Matanzas city and surrounding area. We asked for a customized trip which was tailored to our places we wanted to go. I appreciated that all our questions were asked and they let us go spend a little time alone. Trust Lucy on this one for 160$ usd this was worth every penny! RamĂłn also followed up with us to make sure we had a good time. It was a wonderful experience and highly recommended.
Before the trips: The planning was easy, everything was done through Whatsapp with RamĂłn. He was very responsive with loads of information before we made the decision. He was very flexible in terms of adjusting the trips based on our schedules and locations. He even translated the trips details from the website into English for us to review.
During the trips: We were very lucky to have the same wonderful tour guide, Toni, for our two trips: a 2-day trip to Vinales & Havana, and a 1-day trip to Trinidad & Cienfuegos. Toni is punctual, extremely friendly, and his driving skills are excellent.
Vinales - Toni explained the UNESCO site in Vinales in great details. We were also given plenty of time to explore the cave, the mural and the town. He arranged a memorable lunch with spectacular view to the valley for us. He did the extra to drive us to a place to take good photos!
Havana - We had a very good time with Toni in Havana. He is very professional and approachable that he had all the answers to our questions while walking in Havana. He is very knowledgeable and gave tons of information of the history, culture and local lives in Havana in great details. We enjoyed the scenic tour with a classic car very much. What a unique experience!
Trinidad & Cienfuegos - Once again he came on-time early in the morning to pick us up from our hotel as it was a long drive to Trinidad. He is a cheerful guy and he shared a lot of interesting stores with us. We became more like friends than Guide/Clients. We had a chance to visit some local families aside from the itinerary, this helped us understand Cuba in general more and the difference among different regions. While driving along the roads, whenever he spotted any interesting local fruits, he always tried to stop and let us taste them. The Nicho National Park is beautiful and the waterfall is stunning. The weather was very pleasant that we hiked near the waterfalls after the tasty lunch. While Trinidad was deeply influenced by the Spanish culture, Cienfuegos is completely in contrast with Trinidad in terms of architecture and city layout.
