- raecationLake Grove, NY132 contributionsDefinitely different and intriguing! Deans Blue Hole is something to see. For our visit there was a platform in the middle of the hole because I guess they are using it for free dives so it ruined the pics. The days we went it was too windy for our drone and that’s the best way to get a picture. Wear sneakers and hike around and up the cliff then at least you get a good camera angle. It is a beautiful attraction and you could easily spend the day here. - Samara AGreat Abaco Island9 contributionsBest kept secret in Bahamas! This cave is a natural wonder and Leonard Cartwright who owns the property and offers tours has a wealth of knowledge. His love for this heritage site is obvious as he works hard to keep it clean, walkable and accessible for visitors. Learn about the history of Long Island and explore a unique cave system which is the largest in the Bahamas. Very affordable! We had everything we could need and more! The restaurant food and drinks were worth the wait. Shoutout to fabulous employees: Pinky, Kelly, Nadine, Idella, Jasmine, and more. We will be back! P.S. - GRZChicago, IL11,673 contributionsWe have visited Long Island again 3.5 years later... and while having the car it was a no brainer to visit this part of the island - despite not as nice and shiny water the visit was once again very pleasant and rich in vistas - this place is secluded, peaceful and picturesque - while the first time we did it on the "way back" to the hotel and were somewhat in a rush... if that word even remotely can be used next to Bahamas... this time we actually stayed next door and were able to take our sweet time - I truly recommend doing so!Written 15 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We had the best time dancing on the boat, snorkeling, holding cute pigs, and eating delicious food! The boat was clean and comfortable. - Lori VWilliamsburg, VA138 contributionsFour of us went on an all day excursion with Teresa and Charles which exceeded our expectations! They were so gracious and very informative. Learned a lot about mangroves and how vital they are to the ecosystem.
Charles and Teresa took us to see the swimming pigs, to gorgeous sandbars, through a channel searching for marine life….. saw loggerheads, green turtles, an eagle ray, lemon shark, starfish….. amazing!!
To add to the Robinson Crusoe vibe, we were served a terrific meal on a secluded cay. Teresa’s coconut tarts were an absolute delight!
Just a totally memorable day. Took us to see the pigs, sand bars, turtles, starfish, and rays. Amazing views from the ocean. We had a great day out along the east Atlantic coast, in beautiful snorkel and fishing spots among reef fish, turtles, rays, barracuda, and sharks, all tailored to our requirements.
