We had an excellent full day with Jai.
The loop route from Ipoh through the Cameron Highlands is designed to visit all the key tourist sites with minimised traffic delays. Jai was full of information about everything we were seeing en route. Much of the scenery, particularly in the tea plantation area is very beautiful.
But this doesn’t even begin to describe the fun we had, stopping and being introduced to street food, visiting local markets to see fruits we had never seen before, and seeing the many local tourists enjoying waterfalls and other beautiful spots. Throughout the day, we shared our personal stories and learned a lot about local culture.
Thank you Jai. Good luck with the future. You deserve success

The tour started early in the day with a pick up that was perfectly on time (the driver was at our hotel lobby 5 minutes before the pickup time).
This tour was booked the day previous in the midst of Chinese new year, so the tour company and driver did a great job considering the high season conditions.
The ride to the highlands is long so we took a nap in the way.
Our driver asked in which order we wanted to do the activities (suggesting a couple of routing options based on the locations of the stops).
Due to the high season influx, the road traffic to one activity was slow and the driver mentioned that it may take 3 hours on the road to get to the activity (instead of the usual 10 minutes). The driver offered alternative options for the activity order and we decided together to change 1 activity for another in the city (the tour company approved an activity change but we had to pay part of the activity out of pocket as it the entry fees were higher than the original activities plan).
The driver was professional all the tour and we enjoyed it a lot. The change of activity saved us from being stuck in traffic for hours and potentially missing other activities due to time constraints.
Our tour included lunch and the driver asked our food preference and took us to a nice lunch place in our route.
    Overal great experience

We had excellent pre-arrival communication and driver Herry was
at our hotel at 7am for pick up. He was pleasant, safe driver and very responsive to our needs.
Prepare for a long day. About 3 hours drive each way plus more if traffic is bad. First quick stop was the waterfall. Nice but not super impressive. Then our driver suggested we spend RM10 on snacks for the kids in a local indigenous village. This was a great stop and the kids were super appreciative.
Cameron valley tea stop was busy but worth it. Purchase a ticket for the transport down into the valley. Good photos and nice to sit and have a cup of tea there.
Next stop was lunch in the main town. Then we hit major traffic issues and were stuck so we abandoned going any further and headed back to KL. We stopped at a strawberry and bee farm on the way. It wasn’t great.
So the summary is that we spent a lot of time in the car ( about 7 hours) and the driver was great but there’s just not really enough to see and do on this tour to make it worth the very long drive.

What a wonderful experience! I felt completely safe and comfortable as a solo female traveler. Guide was professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. Cameron Valley Tea is breathtaking! This was such a great day, we arranged for another day trip to some historical sites followed by airport drop off. Really appreciated the flexibility and help on my departure day in addition to the Cameron Highlands experience. Thank you!!

We wanted to see more of the Malaysian countryside and had the most enjoyable day with our guide Ravi. He gave us very interesting information throughout the day, and looked after us all along. We loved the scenery, the plants, rose garden visit to the tea plantation. I would recommend this to anyone who has a free day.

Chance upon this private tour to Cameron Highlands. Amazing driver and touring by Mr Azhari. Highly Recommended! My husband had motion sickness but Mr Azhari knows how to drive around carefully and ensure our safety throughout the trip. :)

We went to this tour on Sunday, 5th January 2020. Truthfully, we were not sure if the tour is possible, because we booked this trip the day before and after opening hours. We were surprised and happy to get a message with a confirmation and our pick-up time at the hotel. Our adventure could start.

Our driver, Razuan, was wonderful! He picked us up very early in the morning and we visited all the places as the tour prospected. Without rush. We could take our time as long as we needed.
During the trip we had a lot of questions and Razuan was very helpful to answer everything. He even showed us stuff outside from the tour. For example: we visited a village of nomads where they showed us how to use a bamboo pipe. It was amazing!
As for lunch we could decide which food we prefered and at what time we wanted to eat.

Now something which we didn't expect: the description promoted, that all entrance fees are included in the price. Which means the Batu Caves, Waterfall, Strawberry Farm, Butterfly Farm and Cameron Highlands, but actually there were no entrance fees at most of the stops. Only at the Butterfly Farm (10 MYR) and the Cameron Highlands - tea plantage - has been an entrance fee for 3 MYR (by foot) and 12 MYR for a shuttle buggy - which you have to pay yourself. So to sum it up, you mainly pay for the transfer, nevertheless we would recommend the tour.

This was disappointing, we came here 25 years ago and wanted to go back to the golf club. This meant an hour in a traffic jam getting across the 'village' . The locals apparently queue to get to a vegtable market!! It was good to see how it had expanded from all those years ago and the golf course looked good. The other bad bit was our driver, who had taken us to Malacca the day before, he seemed miffed we started out at 8 am (in our instructions) not 7 am that he thought best. The drive on the way back was hair-raising, the driver intent on getting back early, so overtaking everything in sight on bends. Maybe the tourist board/companies should explain the client pays the drivers and wants a suitable service.

This is not a “tour”, simply an agency organising a driver as there was no information provided about the places visited.

Our advice is to take a few GRABS/taxis on your first few days in KL and find a car/driver you like to get a direct quote. This will ensure that the “tour” doesn’t get a big cut, you’re comfortable with the car and driver.

    Reasons for one star

    - Car tyre broke in the middle of the highway : my family was stuck in the middle of the highway for nearly two hours at night on a rainy day. Did not receive an apology from the driver or any estimation of wait time. We had five people on a 12 persons van yet the quality tyres were as thin as a motorcycles (attached photo)

    - Dirty car : we saw a few cockroaches on the car and the driver had a smoke next to the car every two hours or every pit stop

    - Overpriced : Cheaper to get direct quote from driver and not through tour agent. As this is NOT a tour, agent simply organised a driver

    - Unorganised & NOT on time - our driver did not arrive on time and when calling the tour agent they were not aware of this (I.e driver and agent have poor communication between them). We waited for an HOUR bf the driver arrived. Reason provided was “stuck in traffic” but traffic was like a normal workday in KL and nothing unexpected had happened

    - Unprofessional : We contacted the tour agent when we were stuck in the middle of the highway. The apology did not come straight away, it only came when the “is there any compensation offered for being stuck as we will be arriving at 10pm instead of 7:30pm” was asked. The agent kept pushing away with excuses such as “call when you r back to the hotel” or “I need to ask my higher up”. I’ve called at least 3 times now with the last response being “I will be give you a call tomorrow afternoon after speaking to my higher up”.
We never received any call back.

    Reasons to go Cameron highland-
    - boh tea plantation: worth the drive as very pretty and organised area.

Our recommendation is to NOT join this tour - as my family did not feel safe during this trip and felt that it was very unorganised. Cameron highlands is a beautiful place that can be visited through directly getting a quote with a driver and car you like :)

A group of 7 booked a tour with this company (we paid $50 AUD each) with a departure time set for 8:15am. Not only did the driver turn up 20 minutes late, there was no communication from the company when we called to ask when we should be expecting the driver. Until he arrived, I was beginning to think this was a scam.

After a 3.5 hour drive with a few 10-minute stop overs (one in an aborigine village with a beautiful waterfall), we had arrived at a tea plantation (though it was not the boh tea plantation in accordance with the itinerary). Again, the driver said 10 minutes only. One of our group members finally asked the driver when we were going to have more than just a pit stop and actually go to the locations as promised on the itinerary. In not so many words, he advised that we should skip the Boh Tea Plantation (the main attraction of the entire tour). I then showed him the itinerary and explained that we had paid to see the Big Red Strawberry Farm, Cactus Valley, a Chinese temple and, of course, the Boh Tea Plantation. We also advised him that we wanted an hour at each destination rather than 10 minutes. The driver was very reasonable and agreed.

We continued on our journey which became a lot better after that and ended up leaving at about 5:30 so we arrived back in Kuala Lumpur at 9:00pm. Whilst the driver was very nice in understanding what our group wanted, I shouldn't have needed to have explained the itinerary to him. It would also have been nice for the driver to have given us more time at the locations rather than our mutiny and demand we have more time. We had been in a car for over 3 hours so it is understandable that we would want to spend more than 10 minutes at the destinations. Further, information about the places we were going to would have been nice - our driver was more like a cab driver then a tour guide.
