We stopped at 4 different islands, going to different spots on each to swim, eat, snorkel, and explore. Our tour guide P and his crew were incredible - so lovely and knowledgeable, they made the day so fun and we knew we were in safe hands the whole time. - MollySanta Cruz, CA3 contributionsThis was a great tour and the highlight/saving grace of our stay in Phuket. The tour was a great mix of things - sight seeing, snorkeling, swimming, and enjoying the beautiful islands. We got a really solid amount of time snorkeling at 2 different spots (pro tip: be sure to wear sunscreen or protective clothes to avoid a gnarly sunburn while snorkeling). The sights are truly world class. Something I'll never forget and am SO glad I got to experience while visiting Thailand. The boat was pretty comfortable with plenty of room for people to spread out - perks of a smaller group size.
The crew/tour guides were great. They had endless snacks and water for us throughout the trip. The buffet lunch surpassed my expectations. Pick up/drop off to our hotel was easy. Drive time to the Simba Sea Trips HQ where you depart from was super reasonable (compared to another tour I did which took ~2.25hrs ONE WAY to get to the Pier we left from). All and all a great time. The boat had plenty of accommodations for the guests who were not strong swimmers, and the crew even helped one of our friends (a bit nervous about the water depth and her swimming ability) get to and from the beach and the boat so that she would not miss out on the snorkeling and monkey island experiences. Tony had a great sense of humor and was super informative when answering questions about the islands.
We would recommend this to anyone looking to see the islands, get out on the water, or just enjoy a speedboat ride with the best of the best! - Tinna GGreater Sydney, Australia7 contributionsPhi Phi Island hopping tour was one of the highlights of our Phuket trip. The entire tour was conducted smoothly from start to finish. The van pick up from our hotel was on time, worth mentioning is it was clean and comfortable inside. We were brought to the marina where some last minute admin tasks were completed. Coffee, tea, and some cold drinks plus some snacks were offered to guests, all included in the package. We were then divided into groups making sure all travelling companions are in the same group. Each group boarded a speed boat. After a good one hour of travel we arrived at Phi Phi Lay Island. We were allowed to jump off the boat to do some swimming and snorkelling for half an hour. after the allotted time, we boarded the boat to move to Monkey Island. We were not allowed to get off as the monkeys could get aggressive. We just took photos of them, watched them eat bananas and swim. Yes, monkeys could swim! After Monkey Island, we sailed to Phi Phi Don Island where a spread of delicious Thai food is served for lunch. Also some western food in the mix like spaghetti, onion rings, etc. Lunch by the Ocean was a breathtaking sight. After lunch, off we went to the beautiful Maya Bay - a location in one of Leonardo Di Caprio's film. We explored the shores of Maya Bay but were prohibited from swimming in the beach. They believe new corals are flourishing in the sea and they want to protect these corals from contamination of the ocean from the sunscreens, lotions, and oils that people apply in their bodies. Maya Bay sits in a cove therefore, the ocean is calm and still that makes it even more beautiful. After Maya Bay, off we went to Khai Nai Beach for another chance to swim. By the shoreline, we rented an umbrella, table and lounge chairs where we relaxed and enjoyed the sun , sand, and sea as we sipped our Mai Tai cocktails. We then went for a swim and the many beautiful and colourful fishes circled us. It was a fun and amazing sight! From Khai Nai beach we sailed back to the marina where a van awaits to bring us back to the hotel. Overall, it was a tour worthy of spending a whole day on. So many wonderful experiences and memories we could tell our family and friends back home. Amazing Canoeing is truly the best boat tour operator in Phuket and they set us up with a fantastic full day Phi Phi adventure! We could admire the beautiful Maya and Pileh Lagoon. The itinerary and timing were great even though the weather was not cool. But it wasn't that important to us. We had fun all day. The crew with Tony created a wonderful and positive atmosphere. They gave their best to everyone. We met new friends there! - Dinah C2 contributionsThis was a really fun tour and I'm glad me and my boyfriend did this. Our tour guide was Nat and she was absolutely incredible. She is super friendly, very informative about the places that she took us, and also offered to take photos for us throughout or trip. We were super thankful to have her as our guide because her hospitality made our experience that much better.
We started at the hot springs and it was indeed very hot. We got there at a reasonable time and were able to soak for a while before more people came. My bf and I went to one of the man-made pools, which was supplied by the natural mineral water, and that thing was hot AF. Could only soak for a few min. We then went to the emerald pool which was very beautiful and blue and the temperature was lovely. We also got to that spot at a great time because as we were close to leaving it started to get even more packed. After that, we had lunch at a buffet style restaurant and the food was delicious. The service was great as well and the scenery was peaceful. Our last stop was the Tiger Cave Temple. You have the option to either explore the ground level, or if you're up to it, hike up the 1,260 steps to the top. My bf and I were able to get up there in about 30 mins and we were TIREDT. But the view at the top was well worth it. I recommend going up there if you're physically able to. It's a worthy and humbling experience that grants you with lovely views of Krabi and a huge glorious golden Buddha.
I recommend doing this tour if you're in Krabi and haven't yet visited these sites. They were incredible guides who made our short time in krabi the most amazing trip we’ve ever been on. The views were breathtaking, they were accommodating with food restrictions, and being with the locals gave us an opportunity to learn so much- especially from such happy people that truly love what they do. The snorkeling was a magical first time experience and I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to top this in my lifetime.
