- Vishal S1 contributionThis experience was amazing start to finish. We had to book at the last minute (day before) and received excellent pre-tour communication from the company and driver. The driver arrived promptly in the morning at the stated pick-up time/location and took us to the hot air balloon take-off zone (about a 1 hour ride). The ride itself was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I highly recommend to anyone. The views of the pyramids, surrounding land, and sunrise were stunning, along with views of the many many balloons flying in the air with you. The breakfast after the balloon flight was held at a small local buffet restaurant and had delicious options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Though the mezcal tasting and obsidian/agave craft demonstration were a bit rushed, they were very informative. During the final 1.5-2 hr archaeological exploration time, our guide Danny -- a Teotihuacan local! -- was extremely passionate and informative. - Tara GTulsa91 contributionsThis was well worth the day away from CDMX. The ride not easy as it was long and bumpy but we would all do it over again. Gorgeous views of Mexicos natural beauty and my 15yo, 12 yo, and 9yo loved the sense of adventure. Our guide moved us through the process confidently. The tour included a breakfast buffet stop at a hotel which has plenty of options, even for my pickiest eater. When we arrived, our guide Danny gave us good tips for enjoying the pools, tunnels suspension bridge and cave. We even had a piña colada break! Our picnic by the river was delish and my kids wore themselves out swimming in the river before we headed back to cdmx.

He introduce a lot of Mexico City history and the UNAM university architecture and history. Love the experience. - darthgnaritas4 contributionsMy brother and I have been looking forward to seeing Teotihuacán for years. We are both anthropology hobbyists. This was one of our “Bucket List” sites to visit. Unfortunately safety concerns (which are appreciated) kept us from doing the hot air balloon portion of the trip. But, Visita Teotihuacán promptly refunded that portion of our trip, and made sure to go out of their way to make up for the inconvenience.
Every step in the tour was excellent. Our driver Alejandro was friendly, personable, and an amazing driver given Mexico City traffic. Katia was an absolute angel in walking us through the excursion (and corralling old men like me who wanted to wander off all day). Our Pulque guru Alex was a rock star. And our site guide J. Julio was the Mexican Indiana Jones as far as I am concerned; he shares the same passion for history I do, and it was reflected in every word!
If you want to see Teotihuacán? The views were incredible, my favorite part was the waterfalls and the caves. If you can request Kevin do it! He’s the best tour guide I’ve ever had in CDMX.
