- stephen mBowmanville, Canada14 contributionsVery nice clean recreation area with a small beach , nice public washrooms, food truck, mini golf . If you are visiting the area make sure you check it out. - Brenda605Ontario, Canada43 contributionsThis little museum in Pembroke was awesome.. when we walked in .. it did not look that great.. but as we went through the double doors.. an awesome museum was waiting! The exhibits were interesting and well laid out.. you had plenty of room to check out everything.. and they had some recordings.. for people like me .. who get tired of reading everything. Then once you are done inside.. they will take you to several out buildings from the era.. very much work the admission fee.Written 8 September 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CM MOttawa, Canada21 contributionsDon't go to Pembroke just for these, but if you are driving by, it is a must. Learn about the history of the area in minutes, and great to pair with the Champlain Trail Museum.Written 13 December 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kathleen HSaranac Lake, NY4 contributionsWe had the fortunate opportunity to meet Captain Griff Slaughter at the marina and took a five hour cruise north on the Ottawa River in his beautiful boat! All the way to Bird Rock and The Pontiac Hotel (originally Hudson Bay Trading Post). Great music and relaxing Canadian folks enjoying a beautiful day in the river. Highly recommended!Written 23 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- janisr424Pembroke, Canada37 contributionsPansy Patch Park, easily accessible where Dickson Street ends, is a hidden emerald gem within the City of Pembroke, a peaceful place to enjoy nature. You will experience rushing water, old-growth trees, flowers in season and wildlife such as songbirds and ducks. In good weather you can enjoy a picnic on the premises.Written 7 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Thomas CPembroke, Canada27 contributionswe went in once we found the door. once in, there was no staff in sight. we were in the building for 30 minutes and saw no staff. we also don't know if the place we entered was the only part of the museum. poor signage and poor lighting. there needs to be staff available as soon as customers enter and the light should be brighter and there also should be signage such as guide signs.Written 1 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ChelseaSault Ste. Marie, Canada6 contributionsWe love the Skylight drive in! It’s well organized, clean, fun and the movie quality is incredible! The movies are posted well in advanced along with estimated start times for dusk. Prices are phenomenal for a family night out. The playground at the front entertains the little ones while you settle in a prepare for the movie. Sound and movie picture quality is better than my tv at home. In the lobby snack shack is the friendly staff ready to serve hot treats, popcorn, drinks, coffee, poutine (best in the valley) and candy. They take debit/credit or cash. The owners are fun & kind- they are willing to help with any questions! We love the drive in for a family night & our date nights. Can’t wait to go back again!Written 1 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Marilyn L M3 contributionsExcellent for adults and children, year round. Blueberries, pumpkins, Christmas Trees, corn mazes, Pumpkin canon, petting zoo, adjacent green house with the best selection of Christmas decor in the whole area. Not the most luxurious course but a friendly place to play especially for beginners.Written 10 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kerri187Pembroke, Canada47 contributionsUrban Oasis has been in Pembroke long enough to have been given a pretty good reputation for pampering its clients-- male and female. There has never been a time that I wasn't treated with the utmost care and personalized service. The ladies are super friendly if you want them to be OR if you prefer solitude they allow you to set the amount of conversation.. I like that. They have a beautiful view in summer and winter of a lovely backyard.. Could use some more flowers and pampering. The Ottawa River is just beyond the trees. They offer you a cool or hot beverage. The spa chairs are comfortable. They are all lined up side by side. If going as a group, get an end that way your not twisting your head left and right to chat with everyone.Written 29 July 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
