Chester Zoo is an impressive zoo with an extensive collection of animals. Despite multiple visits, the entire zoo cannot be explored in a single day. The zoo can be quite crowded, which can make it challenging for young children and adults to get a view of the animals through the windows, as they may be obstructed by other visitors

Due to the amount of cars, we had to park at a considerable distance from the entrance. As we had a disabled badge, we would've been better with a Spacious Disabled bay, but unfortunately, none were available. Consequently, we had to navigate through a congested area to park our car in a limited and cramped space, which posed a challenge for the wheelchair user. Despite circling the area multiple times, we couldn't find a suitable parking space and were on the brink of resorting to the grassy section for parking, which is the furthest spot from the entrance.

The food options were limited at the venue and only vegan hot dogs were available so we needed to have apple crumble flapjack, which was amazing, I would highly recommend trying it

Overall I think the zoo is amazing but is very busy so it is not the best for people who struggle with crowds. I would recommend that you take a few snack to keep yourself going and not to waste time as it’s quite a big zoo to explore.

We did the trail over 3 days. Most of the trail in in good order but there are some overgrown sections (Stingers !!)
There are a few climbs and subsequent descents so stout boots are essential.
The only downside is the last part into Whitchurch, you have to go across seemingly endless fields before reaching the Willymore pub.

We came here as a last minute decision as our booking at another hotel was cancelled through overbooking. We played the Cheshire course first. It was in good condition and had a pleasant flow. The only issue was the stag/society groups ahead of us drinking heavily and taking 5hrs 20mins for a round. The next day the golf staff moved our tee time to avoid that group on the Nicklaus course. Again reasonable condition except the greens which had had a disease. Our final round was on the Cheshire course. We all enjoyed the golf.

Our experience at pryors hayes was absolutely amazing!! Lesley was fabulous from the moment we met her. We felt so at ease with the whole process of booking. There was constant communication which made me feel less stressed!! On the day we had absolutely gorgeous weather and lesley, rob and the team couldnt do enough for us. We where taken around the course on a golf buggy for photographs which was fun! My only complaint, my day went by so fast! I wish it could last forever!! Thank you so much for making our day so special xx

Friendly and welcoming clubhouse , course good condition although plenty of hidden dangers , more a course to avoid trouble on than to go for things , a few extra marker posts would help to clarify the dangers .
Generally the greens were good and challenging , fairways wide enough to plot your way round overall a nice experience.

Highly recommended! I never thought I would play polo, and now I am addicted to the sport. J F Polo Academy is a fantastic place to learn, socialise with others, and have fun. The team are extremely hospitable and welcome all.

At 20 sterling ( sorry no sterling sign on my key board). This has to be the best value golf in the Wirral or around Chester. This course is very close to the Mollington Banstre Hotel and Spa and a few miles outside of Chester. It looks as though it was built as a private club but didn't make it. It was bought four years ago and is now run as a semi private club. The club house and golf course could use a little TLC, however ,look beyond that. The course design is excellent., challenging but fair. You will not be bored and you will be challenged. .There is even an island green.to scare you. I played there with my wife and for 20 sterling, 25 at weekends couldn't fault it. A hidden gem.

Groupon offer £5 voucher to have a taster riding lesson. Arrived at stables at 5.30m for a 6pm lesson. The staff where lovely and stables tidy with a smallish indoor arena. My palomino mate was called Chalky. She was about 14.3 hands. Snaffle mouth.
The instructor was also a lady and gave us a mixture of walk trot and a little centre over the half hour.
All in All a good experience and great value at £5.
    Will definitely go back again.

We were invited to Tony and Jane’s 25th Wedding celebration on The Diana yesterday and throughly enjoyed ourselves

Living close to the beautiful river Dee I have walked past these boats numerous times but never stepped foot on one before yesterday

The views from the river are spectacular

Chester is an extremely beautiful place and these cruises illustrate a hidden vista of beautiful properties and countryside on my doorstep

The staff were polite and engaging and service very pleasant

The food was a cold platter of sandwiches etc but was perfectly ok and the bar was cash only

I throughly enjoyable late afternoon and evening

    We will return!

We had a great day with Mark out driver, despite the Scottish weather! The bus met us from the ship and was easy to find, heck Mark even knew who we were before we had even reached him. The mini coach was comfortable (a bit warm but heigh ho the weather was mad hot one minute raining the next) and timely at all stops including getting us back to the ship on the dot. It always helps when you have a good group of passengers with you but so does preparation, smooth driving and a good itinerary. We saw castles, lochs and even a surprise monster 😆, we felt that the driver had gone above and beyond to make us happy and you can’t say fairer than that. Cheaper and better than the cruise lines efforts we had a great day out 5*

Did the white water kayaking today - my son (13) and I (50 something!) did a private tour with Joe. It was a great experience. So much fun, and Joe explained everything brilliantly. My son chose every ‘adventurous’ option, whilst I was able to go at my own pace. We left feeling like we had both had the best adrenaline rush. Could not recommend more highly. Do it!!!

Took my 15yr old son for his Christmas present and had a great couple of hrs. Staff, from the minute we arrived were friendly and welcoming.
In a trek of 4, Joe took the event from really good to incredible. Nothing was too much trouble and more than happy to pull out anyone stuck in the mud.
Located in some amazing countryside, would highly recommend and will definitely visit again. Thanks
